Taking Action, Writing Articles

santa article marketingOne of the hardest things about article marketing, at least the beginner article marketer, is taking action.  Another one is knowing how to take action.  Yet another one is taking action and seeing no results.  Today is one of those days.

After a sleepless night, I got up at about five this morning so I could stop wasting time rolling around in bed and get something done.  It took a bit of effort, and coffee, but I finally got the motivation to write some articles.   I wrote three for my three link wheels, completing the article part of the five spokes of the link wheel.  I've still only connected one of the 2.0 sites – I'll wait till next Monday (today's Friday) to connect another one, so that it's one 2.0 site per week.  I don't know what I'll do next week, I'll decide that on Sunday.

I also wrote an article for one of my old sites that I'm working on – not a very inspiring article, but I submitted it to street articles.  They're having a 30 articles in 30 days contest, so I figure I can just write some crap, or at lease less that great content just  to fill in this 30 day contest.  In the end, I'll have another 30 articles posting to my old site which should give it some juice.  This way I can continue to think about my new site / sites, and get backlinks for the old ones without thinking too much about it.

That's four articles for today.

Then I did a bunch of forum posts, which means I'll get my link profile up and running pretty well if I keep this up.  I've already done the registration part so now I've just got to keep up on some conversations and in a couple months I'll have several hundred links coming from these forums.

I did some blog posting as well, but not much.

Tried to do Social Monkee but it was still registered with my three sites from yesterday – so I wrote the blurbs and will post them as soon as I finish this blog post.

So I took action, but have yet to make a dime today.  I didn't post yesterday, but I did make 27 bucks from Clickbank sites that have dropped off the face of Google for some reason – might be the accidental redirect I did the other day.  Good to know they can still make money, but worrying that they're no on Google page 1 anymore.

This post is testament to Travis and Bum marketing.  Once piece of great advice I read from him one time is that if you're procrastinating, sometimes you just need to do the first step, and the rest will come naturally.

I really didn't want to write this post, however, I just sat at my keyboard and said to myself, "lets see what happens", "you can pump out 200 words and get it over with.  The post is now over 500 words, and has some good advice about taking action.

Good job, self.

There might be another post tonight because I didn't post yesterday (drinking).  Good news is that now I've got the motivation to finish up Social Monkee before I go to work.
